Carter Altman is Detroit-born and London-based Designer and Creative.

Altman started his career in fashion design at age 15, working alongside Alexander Nash to learn the fundamentals of classical tailoring and garment construction. The following year, Altman took his first foray into sportswear working under Nick Annacone at Kith. Later, he learned the ins-and-outs of the wholesale business while working for Helmut Lang.

While attending New York University, Altman spent the summer working for Matthew Williams and his brand Alyx, in Ferrara, Italy before launching his eponymous line, Carter Young.

A unisex, New York-based clothing label, Carter Young reimagines the American uniform. In addition to presentations at both New York Fashion Week, the brand has secured coverage in outlets including The New York Times, WWD, Vogue and Garage Magazine.

Alongside his work at Carter Young, Altman currently works as a Menswear Bottoms, Shorts and Knits designer at Urban Outfitters.
